You really do need to try Median 2006, it's the most amazing mod for D2 - there is so much stuff in there I wouldn't have thought was possible. The monsters are a lot harder and far more interesting, the skills are significantly different and generally much better balanced than D2 (everything has been thought out, situations for each particular skill, and improvements and tweaks are constantly made as needed).

It's come a long long way since Median 2, now it's got uniques and sets and heaps of runewords and crafting etc. Which is odd because Laz always said he didn't want 'meta-gamey' stuff in his mod. But there you go.
