That weird signature almost looks like a result of some script or worm or something that cuts lines from various sources (websites? other emails?) and pastes them in.
Possibly it does this in order to get past spam filters, since they look like regular words/sentence, rather than "drug" "viagra" "buy" etc etc that most spam is filled with.
"and then "bachelors in Baker Street" means what, exactly?"
Sherlock Holmes & Watson, of course. :) And yup, I agree too, random lines for getting past filters.
Yeah, a lot of spam these days seem to have that, and the only reason for that seems to be confusing antispam programs. I've seen pages dedicated to finding and talking about good examples of the stuff that comes out of spam...Can't think of a link though.
