New Tech Toy...

I've gotten out of the habit of reading The Onion at least a couple of years ago, and I'd never previously watched any of their ONN video pieces. I might have to rethink that approach after this video, which I laughed so hard at I had to 1) take off my shirt since I was overheating, and 2) watch a second time to hear half the dialogue I'd missed the firs time. It's fantastically profane and is therefore NSFW, but as is the case with all the best of The Onion, it's psychologically brilliant and much of it seems to have been taken directly from my own thoughts.

Sony Releases New Stupid Piece Of Shit That Doesn't Fucking Work

Comments:

I think most of all the on-screen menu really did it for me. I recently bought a surround sound system for my living room and while it has an input for the television, I never dreamed that I would have to plug the output into the television to access its menu. No kidding, the output from the television has to be plugged into the surround sound, then the output of the surround sound has to be plugged into the television.. That is the only way to get the surround system (which has no cable decoder of its own) to play the television audio, and in order to control the balance, fade, etc. you have to use the on-screen menu on the television (the remote is just thrown in for looks as best as I can tell). It was so confusing I just fucking gave up.

The list of product feature bullet points slayed me too. "Fucks up everything else you plug it into." "Makes the most annoying goddamn beeping sound you've ever heard in your life." etc.
