Home Grown American Terrorists
Comments:
And yet there are probably hundreds of real terrorist plots being stamped out every day by our intelligence forces -- not racists anti-baby murder wing nuts, but people seeking to bring down America. The problem is that the majority of them are still classified.
PS: gay marriage activists and environmentalists are, by and large, far more extremist than anti-abortion activists, despite the fact that they're not trying to save the lives of babies.
Living not 20 miles from the site of the worst act of domestic terrorism (The Murrah Building in Oklahoma City), I've long believed that we've focused a lot more extensively on terrorism from foreign sources than the threats within our own borders. I mean, until the 9/11 attacks, I think the Murrah building was the worst terrorist attack on American soil, period. And what was our response? Months and months of trials to execute the guy that drove the truck, and many more months of trials to lock the supposed mastermind up for life.

It might just be my 'back country' cyncism, but I've always felt that if that attack had happened in a more promimenent city like LA or New York, it would have garnered much more of an outcry than it did...
